Citizens Advice Medway is a registered charity that offers free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to the whole of Medway on a range of issues including Housing, Welfare Benefits, Employment, Debt, Family Law and many others.
Citizens Advice works alongside the Trussell Trust to ensure nobody goes hungry in England and Wales.
Citizens Advice Medway is one of several local offices that have Advisers working on a national helpline that people can contact if they are suffering hardship and struggeling to afford food.
An eVoucher will then be completed by the Adviser and referred to your nearest Foodbank. Most Foodbank services are now operating by delivery, however some may still require you to attend somewhere in person to collect the food parcel.
The Advisers will ask a few questions about the crisis you're facing to determine how we can help to solve the issue and ensure you don't need to rely on Foodbank support longterm. This may include a referral to your nearest Citizens Advice office.
You can contact the Foodbank Helpline for free on 0808 208 2138 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday (Interpreting service available).
