Online self help

One of our priorities is to expand our presence in the community. We recognise that it is not always easy or practical for our clients to come to us. As a result, we make greater efforts to come to them. This might be by us providing a regular Citizens Advice “branch” in a particular location, or by us joining with an existing service provider to offer a Citizens Advice presence at their regular sessions, clinics and surgeries.

We currently have Outreaches at the following locations where people can get Advice:

  • St Peter's Parish Church on Delce Road in Rochester (ME1 2EH). This Outreach is a drop-in session and takes place on the first Tuesday of every month from 9:30am to 11:00am. Please be aware that we will only see a limited number of people and the session is run on a first come first serve basis.
  • Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) at the Victory Community Centre in Melville Court on Brompton Hill in Chatham (ME4 4XQ). This Outreach is by pre-booked appointment through RVS only. It takes place every fortnight on a Thursday from 12:30pm to 4:00pm.

  • Nelson Road Community Resource Centre on Nelson Road in Gillingham (ME7 4LT). This Outreach is by pre-booked appointment through the Resource Centre only. It takes place every fortnight on a Friday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

We also run an Outreach at HMP Cookham Wood which is not open to the public where we only advise on certain subjects and appointments are arranged via the venue for specific clients they are already dealing with.
