Living in Medway Survey Results

Citizens Advice Medway ran a survey from December 2015 to April 2016 entitled ‘Living in Medway’. We wanted to hear from people living, working and studying in Medway about their biggest concerns and where they think life in Medway needs to be improved.

The main conclusions we have drawn are as follows:

  1. The fourth question in the survey invited respondents to name the most important problem affecting Medway at the moment. The issues identified most frequently related to housing and homelessness. Healthcare and employment were more or less equal in second place. Access to mental health services in particular were identified as a concern within the healthcare category.
  2. Over 70% of respondents felt that the issue they chose as the most serious in Medway was getting worse. Less than 6% thought their selected issue was improving.
  3. Although most respondents said that Medway has a lot of problems at the moment, the majority also said that Medway was a good place to live at the moment all things considered.
